Welcome to the school council section of the website.
The school council at Grove Lea is seen as an important part of the school. It takes part in organising many events in school including Children in Need events, fun days, sports events and coffee mornings.
In September the pupils in school will begin to write letters to their fellow pupils in order to campaign to be a school councillor. All classes will then take part in a vote to decide their representative.
Two pupils are chosen from each year group to attend school council meetings and air the views of their fellow pupils.
Throughout the course of the year the school councillors will take part in many activities including creating posters, creating a blog on the school website and taking part in competitions to represent the school.
They also have a very important role in being able to air the views of all pupils with regard to school life. As such they will take part in questionnaires about school life in order to ensure that all pupils are happy at Grove Lea.
Check back in September to see who has been chosen for school council and what we are getting up to!
