Smart School Uniform

Our wonderful children modelling our school uniform in the Early Years!

The school uniform is red and grey/black. For the children in Nursery/Reception we recommend easy to pull up grey trousers, white short-sleeved polo shirts and a red sweatshirt/jumper or cardigan, velcro school shoes and a pair of wellington boots.  We ask for long hair to be tied back and coloured hair accessories to be red, white, grey or black.

Session Times

AM Session: 8.45am-11.45am

PM Session: 12.30pm-3.30pm

Library Visits

  • Reception visit the library every alternate Monday morning
  • Nursery visit the library every Tuesday

During this time a story is shared with the children and they will have the opportunity to choose a book to take home. (Books must be returned before children will be able to select a new book the following week). We hope you will be able to join us!

* Please note these visits are weather permitting and subject to us having enough parent volunteers to enable us to walk to the library.

Snack Money

We ask for weekly donations of 50p. This is collected by a member of the team on a Monday. This covers daily snacks and other events we hold, for example baking.

Reading Books

Once your child knows all of the 26 letter sounds, your child will be given a conversation book and the first set of high frequency words. Once your child is confident with the first set of words they will be given a book with words. Please bring these in your child’s book bag every day as we listen to your child read across the week. All reading books are changed on a Friday. Your child must read 3 times per week and have this recorded in their reading record in order to get their book changed.
