I am delighted to be able to share some happy news on behalf of myself, staff and governors.
As you are aware Ofsted visited the school second week back. The visit started off as a section 8 (a 1 day visit) to evaluate if the school was still good but by 2pm we were notified that 3 other inspectors would join the lead inspector the following day to make it a 2 day (section 5) inspection and see if the school had made improvements.
The visit was very thorough and involved inspectors meeting with myself, staff, governors, children and yourselves as parents. During the visit the inspectors also looked at children's work, displays and documentation kept by the school and data from the previous 2 years. I am delighted to announce that the school was graded the following;
Effectiveness of leadership and management...outstanding
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment .... outstanding
Personal development and welfare.... outstanding
Outcomes for pupils ... outstanding
Early years provision ...outstanding
Overall effectiveness .... outstanding
Outstanding is the highest grading a school can achieve.
The full report will be available next Monday. We will provide a link on Dojo. If you wish to have a paper copy please visit the school office.
I hope you are proud that your child attends an outstanding school and hope you will continue to support us. Ofsted has helped us as a school to celebrate and have recognition for all the hard work which goes on beyond the opening hours. I am privileged to lead a school with enthusiastic and dedicated staff at every level who often go the extra mile. We do that because of your children.
As a school our hard work will not stop, there are still areas that we wish to continue to strengthen, including working with yourselves. We will continue to ensure your children have the best education and experiences and above all work hard to make sure they are safe and happy. Our door continues to be an open one. After all 'If it is to be, it is up to me'
